Clara Lundgren’s foot-crafted water collage showcases artistic resilience and innovation. This massive piece stretches over two meters long. It emerged from necessity when the artist broke her arm.
Unable to paint or sculpt, Lundgren experimented with a new technique. She dyed silk paper in various blue shades to represent flowing water. Then, using help of her feet, she meticulously glued these pieces onto the canvas.
This unconventional method resulted in a dynamic composition. The layered blue hues capture water’s fluid movement effectively. Consequently, viewers can almost feel the water’s flow through the collage.
