About Interlaced Arcs
Four arcs meet at a central point and extend outward in a symmetrical yet imperfect form, creating a mirror-like design.
The arcs are covered with thin porcelain threads that add a delicate and intricate texture to the sculpture. In addition, wavy porcelain ribbons wind around the arcs, enhancing the sense of movement and fluidity. The inclusion of lace-like porcelain bands adds an element of elegance and complexity, reminiscent of fine fabric.
Throughout the sculpture, areas are highlighted with colored glazes that contrast with the white porcelain. Porcelain threads hang loosely and somewhat chaotically, some detached and dangling with a sense of abandonment. The glazes are applied haphazardly, running in uneven patterns, creating an intentionally messy aesthetic.
Designed to hang on a wall, this sculpture transforms its environment by projecting its intricate play of lines and textures outward. The piece tells a story of excess and emptiness, of energy spent and moments passed, rendered in delicate porcelain and imperfect glazes, capturing both strength and delicacy in its execution.
