About Interlaced Arcs
Four arcs meet at a central point. They extend outward symmetrically, yet imperfectly. This creates a mirror-like design.
Thin porcelain threads cover the arcs. These add a delicate, intricate texture. Moreover, wavy porcelain ribbons wind around the arcs. As a result, they enhance the sense of movement and fluidity.
Additionally, lace-like porcelain bands are included. These elements add elegance and complexity. They remind viewers of fine fabric.
Throughout the sculpture, colored glazes highlight certain areas. These contrast with the white porcelain. Meanwhile, porcelain threads hang loosely and chaotically. Some are detached, dangling with a sense of abandonment.
Furthermore, the glazes are applied haphazardly. They run in uneven patterns. Consequently, this creates an intentionally messy aesthetic.
Designed for wall-hanging, this sculpture transforms its environment. It projects its intricate play of lines and textures outward. In essence, the piece tells a story of excess and emptiness. It speaks of energy spent and moments passed.
Ultimately, the sculpture is rendered in delicate porcelain and imperfect glazes. It captures both strength and delicacy in its execution.34 cm x 23 cm x 28 cm
